Caera is a Partner in the Infrastructure, Energy & Utilities practice group at Zaid Ibrahim & Co. She has over a decade’s experience and specializes in project development across a wide range of sectors, including power and renewable energy, infrastructure and oil and gas.

She has extensive experience advising investors, project sponsors and financial institutions in the bidding, acquiring, developing, financing and re-financing of Large-Scale Solar (LSS) projects. She is also actively involved in the solar space by advising on the Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP) projects, rooftop solar photo voltaic systems installations, corporate and virtual power purchases and the sale of renewable energy certificates. Her experience advising parties with differing interests across stages of a project lifecycle gives her a broader view and balanced understanding of the expectations of all parties. Her other recent engagements in the sustainable space include advising on the proposed development of hydrogen production facilities and the proposed generation and issuance of verified carbon units through sustainable forest management.

Caera has in-depth knowledge and experience in construction and engineering matters. She regularly advises clients, both employer and contractor, in the construction and engineering of large infrastructure and manufacturing facilities. She is often involved in front-end planning, tender exercises, project initiation through design and procurement, and construction administration, where she advises and assists clients in identifying and managing the broad spectrum of risks in the project life cycle.

She is also familiar with oil and gas matters, including advising on proposed farm-in and acquisition of oil and gas assets in Malaysia, and other corporate and commercial matters relating to joint ventures, acquisitions and foreign investment in Malaysia.
