Raj is a partner in the firm’s corporate commercial practice and advises on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including competition, distribution and dealerships, electronic commerce transactions, supply chain management, direct sales, personal data protection, consumer protection, franchise, and mergers and acquisitions.

Raj advises on competition law related issues including resale price maintenance, price relationship agreements, cartels, abuse of dominance, distribution and dealerships, joint ventures, joint procurement, exclusivity and non-compete restraints.

Raj has advised on dispute resolution involving commercial and corporate disputes and regularly appeared at the High Court.

Raj was part of the project team for the revision of legislation governing Labuan offshore financial services and also communications and multimedia.

He also has in-house corporate experience in the automotive sector, where he was responsible for the company’s Competition and Personal Data Protection Compliance Programs and a cross border joint venture project involving the company. Raj also regularly drafted and advised on all commercial and operational agreements entered into by the company in the course of its business.

Raj joined Zaid Ibrahim & Co. as a pupil-in-chambers and was retained in the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution practice. Raj thereafter joined a government linked company before returning to Zaid Ibrahim & Co. as Senior Associate in the Corporate Commercial Department. Raj was appointed a Partner in January 2016.
